When Kaitlin and John moved to California, one goal they had was to watch a beautiful sunset. When John found the perfect private beach for the two to finally get their wish, John knew it was also the right time to propose to his love. After they arrived to the beach before dinner, little did Kaitlin know the surprise she was in for. And the beauty of the evening was captured by a professional photographer, waiting to forever freeze their special moment in time.
Because Kaitlin didn’t already know what she wanted in a wedding, she turned to almost every resource she could to help (including WeddingDay Magazine!). And because she and John were planning a wedding from California, it was even more important that they consider reputations and recommendations from friends when selecting their vendors. While long-distance planning did present challenges, Kaitlin’s mom came to the rescue. In fact, Kaitlin and her mom designed everything. From infusing Kaitlin’s favorite colors to creating a soft, elegant and romantic theme, every detail was considered.
When the couple chose the Indiana Roof Ballroom in Indianapolis as their venue, it was everything they wanted and more than they could have dreamed of. Kaitlin says,”It felt like a fairytale, and I felt like a princess in there!”
Like most weddings, the celebration is the most important thing guests remember and for Kaitlin and John, it was no different. Kaitlin recalls, “Everyone danced the night away!”
