Tell us a little more about your business.
"The Market is a full-service venue center in Valparaiso, Indiana replacing the iconic Strongbow Inn in 2015. The Market provides a great gathering space for corporate events as well as amazing weddings in a unique industrial/vintage themed building. We also host many events from pop-up dinners, craft beer brunches, cabaret shows and many other fun and exciting gatherings."
What sets you apart from others? Why should a bride chose you?
"A few things that make us stand out from other venues include our ability to accommodate up to 600 guests in our building. We also use amazing software and layout programs to make the venue process effortless and convenient. However, our most important attribute is our attention to detail with our menu. Our executive chef is one of the owners and creates delicious food in a venue-banquet atmosphere. Food made at The Market is made fresh with quality ingredients, for example our fresh buttermilk homemade biscuits served at every wedding."
What inspires you as a wedding director?
"Inspirations of a wedding director are also our goals as a business: to create the best event we can for the guest. What inspires me at the end of the night is to see everyone leaving happy, grateful, and not wanting to end their night here at The Market. The night goes fast, so making sure all aspects of the reception are on schedule, efficient, and of course fun makes for a very busy and high paced night, but like I said, it makes it all worth it at the end of the night."
What do you love most about helping couples with their big day?
"What I love most about helping a couple on their big day is to make sure that the venue and the reception are the least of their stresses. We, as venue coordinators, have established relationships with our brides and grooms over the planning process, making them feel at home and comfortable during their big day. Our staff here at The Market has been mentioned many times in our reviews for being helpful and friendly. The staff is our biggest attribute to The Market; we all make sure that the bride and groom is the upmost important piece of the night, but also make sure that every guest is treated as if they were the bride and groom as well."
