After meeting on a dating app that was designed to be deleted, Daniel and Sidney dated for five years before he popped the question. In true romantic fashion, Daniel filled a day with activities they loved to do together. Before they left for dinner, Daniel dropped to one knee and asked Sidney to marry him in the living room of their very first home that they had just bought together. Of course, Sidney said, "YES!"

Sidney ended up choosing a dress that she didn't expect! "It was nothing like what I had originally imagined my wedding dress to be." Sidney recalls, "I saw this dress on the end cap and just knew I had to try it on. I fell in love with the glistening satin, unique vine lace and modern, romantic feel of the dress." We are obsessed with the bodice of this gown! The exposed boning with the elegant lace details makes it so unique and beautiful. We love the elegant and classic feel with the modern and fun twist!

Just like her dress, Sidney and Daniel wanted something unique, fun and modern for their wedding day. That all started with finding the right venue. Sidney gushes, "I have never seen such a unique venue like this one before. We had many guests come in from out of town. Having our wedding at a venue in the city allowed our guest access to multiple different hotel options, walking options to multiple different restaurants and an easy walk to the venue on the day of the wedding." The venue was also pretty inclusive with offering multiple services, so they knew it was the perfect fit. The rest of their vendors came from reviews or personal connections. We think they assembled the dream team to pull off their perfect wedding day!

As for the theme and décor, Sidney and Daniel were pretty open to whatever caught their eye. "I wanted something that was fun, unique, bold and playful for our wedding theme. My favorites colors are any bright and bold colors, pinks, reds, yellows with touches of softer purples or blues," Sidney explains. Their florist helped put together a vision board with plenty of different textures and colors so the florals could take center stage of their wedding décor. They truly are eye-catching with an explosion of color as the hanging decorations, centerpieces and other details of their day!

What We Love
Since mothers often help a lot with the wedding planning process but don't have many special moments on the wedding day, Sidney and Daniel wanted to highlight them in a special way. Sidney shares, "One way we wanted to incorporate our mothers in the wedding was by having them hold and bless our wedding bands, then present them during our wedding ceremony." Speaking of wedding rings, Sidney chose her wedding band specifically to symbolize the stepping stones that brought them to their wedding day!

Advice from the Couple
Sidney and Daniel advise, "Have fun being engaged and doing all the wedding planning! If it becomes stressful, take a day to rest. Stop planning and go on a fun date together. Don’t be afraid to ask someone for help."
