Where to Start When Creating the Vision for Your Wedding

“Vintage” means a lot of things to me, more than just a style.  By far, I think it encompasses charming individuality, and that is where I think a bride should start when creating the vision for their wedding.  

 

 

 

 

 

Weddings are sentimental & personal.  They are a celebration of love you choose to share with friends and family so you want them to be a reflection of you and your spouse to-be. You may need to keep this in mind in order to feel comfortable and confident following through with your vision.

 

 

I’m a go-with-my-gut kinda gal - that doesn't mean impulsive though, but rather intuitive. We've all had that feeling where we know (without being able to provide an explanation) when something is just plain right and feels good. When you get that feeling while creating the vision for your wedding, I think you should follow it, trust in your instinct. You’ll feel less stressed and more content. Whether your first thought that you swoon over is red roses and lace or fabric flowers in/with colored mismatched glassware, go with it. 

 

 

 

 

 

If you’re having trouble trusting your instinct or are too overwhelmed to notice what your gut is trying to tell you try a simple exercise such as taking an instinct walk. Walk outside and listen to the very first direction you get the urge to go in and continue that process the whole duration of your walk. It’s a simple listening to your gut that tells you to go left or right and helps exercise the right side of your brain (which loosely is associated with your tendency for creativity, emotion, and instinct).
