Frankie Photography had shot a wedding at the Goldner Walsh in Pontiac, Michigan and fell in love with the venue’s features. Frankie says, “Goldner Walsh is such a unique wedding venue and a perfect place for the boho/romantic bride. A greenhouse to me is just such a romantic, dreamy place to shoot at.” Using the venue’s interior features as inspiration, Frankie dreamt up a perfect boho wedding that is after any bride’s heart.
“My vision was to just capture the true love between a couple in a venue filled with florals and greenery,” notes Frankie. “I wanted it to look effortless, and I think my vision truly came to life, especially with the help of everything that was contributed towards this shoot.” That effortless, free-spirited vibe did come to life through the soft details and golden color palette. The soft, yet rich colors were ideal for an edgy style.
In order to find a bridal look that was a nod to the boho style, Frankie turned to Ox and Opal bridal salon for the perfect dress. “Ox and Opal is a new wedding dress shop for brides who aren’t afraid to stick with their true selves and go out of the box a little bit,” says Frankie. “I knew I wanted to work with Ox and Opal because they offered so many different gowns. I knew I wanted something romantic and flowy. Cassie and Erin (owners of Ox and Opal) brought many dresses and accessories for me to choose from.” They easily found the picture-perfect dress that is modern and offbeat all at once. The dress mimicked the airy feeling of the greenhouse to complete the shoot.
Frankie used a few trends in the shoot, adding, “I know macramé is in right now, and when I found this macramé table runner at Target, I knew it would be perfect for this styled shoot.” Incorporating small details like the macramé piece made this shoot relatable and eye-catching to many couples. We love the effortless vibe that this shoot brings to wedding design.
