Though Abigail and Bryce met on July 4th of 2016, it wasn't until a friend reintroduced them in an attempt to set them up that they really connected. By Thanksgiving of 2016, they were a couple, and the rest is history! To propose, Bryce rented out an apple orchard where they first spent time with Abigail's family. At the time, they said it would be beautiful to be married or engaged at the gazebo! There, he played their first dance song, "Baby I'm Yours" by Arctic Monkeys and got down on one knee.

"Bryce picked out the ring all by himself, but it was my dream ring that I didn’t know existed. I’ve always preferred a uniquely styled ring with an antique feel and it was all of those things," Abigail gushes. " I have never seen another ring like it, and it shows just how well Bryce knows me. Anyone who has seen the ring says that it looks like me." We love the unique look to the ring with the beautiful gold details throughout the stones

Since fall is her favorite season, Abigail knew she wanted her engagement session to feature both fall foliage and stereotypical fall attire. Abigail and Bryce picked colors that they thought would look best with the autumnal colors around them without going "too bridal". And Becky Lynn Photography beautifully captured the warm tones of Indy in the fall! Abigail raves, "Becky and her husband captured and highlighted all the things that called out to me in their photos, all the details brought to the surface."

Abigail and Bryce have a clear idea of what they wanted to do with their traditional Christmas wedding. They have a cozy yet moody feel with gold, red, dark green and black as their main colors with trees and a traditional Christmas feast. So far, the planning process has been slow but steady and relatively stress-free. "We have most of our details figured out now so it’s just figuring out the little things and planning the day and all its details," Abigail explains. "By the time we get married, we would have spent over nine years together and I know even now that our life has happened exactly how it was meant to in order to get to this momentous moment together."
