“We started by choosing where we wanted to get married and after that, we started looking for houses that could hold 20+ guests,” says Amanda. Aiming to plan a super cute micro wedding, Amanda adds, “We really didn’t want to get married at a resort because we wanted everything to be private and everyone to feel like it was their vacation home too.” They ended up finding an oasis-like vacation home in Mismaloya, Mexico. The house had everything they were looking for and more. It was big enough that everyone could stay there and have their own vacation around the wedding. It also featured an entirely too picturesque terrace for the ceremony.
This couple added in some super fun details on the big day. From Alex’s floral suit to their casual beach photo session—there were several little elements that made their destination wedding a truly relaxing and fun experience. Their color palette mimicked the bold details. Amanda says, “My favorite color has been purple since I was little so I knew that lavender was a must. Rose gold is one of my favorite accents and I let my husband pick the third color and he picked navy. It worked out pretty well!” The eclectic palette was ideal for the locale and offered an adventurous atmosphere.
What's even better than destination wedding photos? Destination wedding photos AND destination couples photos. We love that Amanda and Alex took advantage of their locale and snuck in an extra set of totally dreamy pics! Check out a few of our favorites below.
