Fireworks went off for this couple when they got engaged on the Fourth of July! Courtney says it was a tradition for the couple to head to the Fourth of July festival in Carmel, Indiana, but now that day will be special in more ways than one!
The best was found last in this dress hunt! Courtney says the dress she found for her big day was the last dress she tried on. She gushes, “I knew I wanted lace, some beading and an illusion neckline and this dress was perfect!” We love that floral lace style!
This couple started vetting for their photographer and venue soon after they got engaged. Courtney says that having a venue like the Ritz Charles with onsite catering was a big plus! She explains, “The best thing I liked about the Ritz as a venue was how they bundle their packages – food, cake, alcohol and linens were all bundled together in their wedding reception packages.” Sounds like easy planning to us!
What we love
We love this couple’s play on words when it came to the florals! Courtney says, “One unique touch throughout our wedding was a special flower called the Ohara rose. I had never heard of the flower until my florist mentioned it and it coincided perfect with our special day as I was marrying an O’Hara.”
Advice from the couple
Courtney advises doing research when picking out your vendors. “Do your research and take advantage of bridal magazines when choosing your vendors,” she says. “Be organized and utilize free resources online to help stay on top of things. Try not to stress over all the details in the beginning and remember to have fun when planning a wedding. Before you know it, your big day will be here and you want to cherish the time you’re engaged before you get married!”
