Please tell us a little more about your business.

"LEX 530 is a modern event center in the newly revitalized River District in downtown Elkhart, Indiana. Our bright, eclectic center has clean lines, 18-foot ceilings, exposed round ductwork and beautiful lighting fixtures throughout. We have three clearly defined areas to help separate different zones couples may want to create for their wedding and reception. The smallest area, framed by beautiful windows, is a focal point of the space and could be used to house the bar/lounge area, or to stage a buffet. The middle section of LEX 530 is perfect for larger buffet stations and dessert displays, a great place for a DJ and dance floor, or it could be set up to accommodate a small wedding ceremony. The largest part of our center is the main room which can easily accommodate a larger wedding ceremony or a reception with a dance floor and tables for up to 225 guests. No matter how you use the space, when you book LEX 530, you aren’t sharing the space that day."

What sets you apart from others? Why should a bride choose you?

"The best food and wine around! We have our own Executive Chef, Chad Coryn, who can create any type of menu our brides and grooms can dream up. He works with only the freshest ingredients and makes everything from scratch. We specialize in offering unique boutique wines that guests of LEX 530 will not find any other place in Indiana. LEX 530 is owned by Elkhart natives Carl and Emilie Tiedemann. Carl makes his own line of boutique wines (Glenwood Cellars and Tiedemann brands) in Napa Valley, California, and brings that wine back to Elkhart to sell at LEX 530. His numerous connections to small, independent winemakers in Napa, and around the world, allow LEX 530 access to exclusive wines that will make wedding receptions, bridal showers and bachelor parties stand out as an elegant, distinctive and memorable."

Do you have anything exciting that you would like to share?

"Right now we are in the process of creating a beautiful green space outside on our property for couples to be married outdoors in 2021! We are hoping this new space will be completed in the spring and will offer another option for our couples."

What inspires you to be in the wedding industry?

"I have been helping couples plan their weddings for four years. I like being a part of happy moments. I think it’s really special when a couple allows you to be part of their special day. It drives me to make sure their event is extra special. And I have never worked anywhere where the entire team, from our owner to the accounting department, had a true interest in every event being successful. Every one of our team at LEX 530 wants our brides and grooms to have the best possible experience. At LEX 530 you have an entire team of people who are supporting and rooting to make your day the best."

What do you love most about working with couples?

"I love learning the story behind what couples want to happen on their wedding day...the reasons for the unique touches that they put in their reception or wedding. These give you such insight into who they are as a couple and what makes their love special together.
