Andrea and Jason met on Match.com, but quickly realized they had a lot of friends in common IRL! After three years of dating, Jason asked Andrea to be his wife at a resort on the Lake Superior Shore.
It took Andrea about sixty-five tries to find her dress, but when she found the perfect one, it was magical! Because the style’s design shares the same name as her daughter (“Madison”), she felt a special connection to the dress.
Andrea picked up a few ideas here and there about her dream wedding from going to other weddings and working in the wedding industry for a few years. “I spent hours looking for ideas,” she says. “I made my own wedding binder that I kept all my information in. I love doing crafts so I made a ton of stuff for our wedding.”
What we love
Andrea loves crafts, so she and her dad teamed up to create some gorgeous D.I.Y. touches that we can’t help but love! She painted over 800 wooden flowers and crafted the centerpieces herself. “My dad made my centerpieces, seating chart, my cupcake stands, the tables for our ceremony site and my A-frame stands,” she explains. “He took all my visions and made them for me!” Way to go, team!
Advice from the bride
Andrea’s last-minute addition of a videographer really helped her remember her big day. She advises other brides to look into getting one!
