Mary and Vivian first met through a dating app. Mary jokes, “We are millennials, so where else would be meet except online?” Once the couple went on a few dates, they started getting serious. It was obvious they were meant to be! Mary popped the question to Vivian during a trip to the Belle Isle Conservatory. After dinner and champagne, the pair headed home, where their families were waiting for them. Vivian surprised Mary by giving her a ring--making this double proposal one to remember!
Mary’s sisters traveled with each bride-to-be on separate dress hunts. Vivian quickly fell in love with a gown but took two days to really think it over. After a long period of deliberation, she said 'yes' to the dress! Mary wanted to find a dress that complemented the elegance of their venue. In the end, both ladies chose a gown by the same designer and line, perfectly complementing each other!

What we love
Vivian’s father utilized his winemaking hobby to act as a one-of-a-kind gift to the guests. “People sent us pictures well after our wedding drinking our wine, which was really fun to see!” Mary notes. “We still have a bottle sitting on our shelf as a keepsake.”
The pair also wanted a rainbow cake as a nod to the LGBTQ+ community. Mary explains, “We were so fortunate to meet and fall in love in a time where we knew we could get married. So many of those before us did not have the same luxury, and unfortunately, today, we and so many others, still lack equality in many aspects of life. We made sure to keep this in mind while planning our wedding. It was truly a privilege to have the support of our families, friends, and vendors who made our wedding such a beautiful celebration of love.”
