Dark & Dramatic: The Real Grand Rapids Elopement of Phoenix & David Riverkooi

Traditional wasn't on the minds of Phoenix and David when they planned their dramatic and dark elopement! After COVID-19 canceled their original plans, the couple decided to move forward with their ceremony on a much smaller scale. We love how they utilized the art display the venue already had to keep their decorations to a minimum!

Bride Phoenix says, "There’s quite a lot of aspects to a wedding I felt very unattached to, and as such was really easy for me to cut out and reframe when the plans changed. I got most of the parts that meant the most to me, so it became the best possible day it could’ve been, and one I hold dearly."
