Who says you can’t have a modern and traditional celebration? This submission to our 2020 Style Shoot Design Contest proves otherwise. Alli Cox and Heidi Demange, owners of Antoinette Bridal Boutique, set out to merge these two seemingly contradictory themes in one gorgeous shoot. “We chose to embrace the Artistic Touch theme because the word ‘contemporary’ best connects the ideas of ‘modern and traditional,’” Alli says. “With each bride being unique, we added some details of romance and whimsy to attract couples with different styles and budgets.”
It was important for this shoot’s team to share the support for small businesses during the COVID pandemic. With its old theatre flooring and modern color scheme and fixtures, this locally owned venue was the perfect spot for the minimalist shoot.
Can you believe there were ten gowns selected for this shoot? Added accessories helped these bridal styles achieve a different look that’s down to the details. Neutral makeup individually styled with each model kept some traditional vibes, while subtle pops of color added a touch of whimsy.
This floral studded vanity is a trend that we’re here for! “Not only is it more practical for a bride getting ready, but a decorated vanity is not something that we’ve seen done!” Alli says.
The floral bouquets, created with hues of Classic Blue, the 2020 Pantone Color of the Year, adds a gentle touch of romance to each bride’s look.
