The Vision

Emmaleigh White Wedding & Event Planning envisioned a summer garden sunset theme for our Grand Rapids spring/summer 2023 digital issue cover shoot. Drawing inspiration from the romantic beauty of nature's golden hour, this shoot takes you to a dreamy garden setting filled with warmth and elegance. Soft pinks, oranges and yellows are artfully woven throughout the shoot, reflecting the captivating hues of a summer sunset. We love the way Like the Planet Photography captured every detail, showcasing the magic of love in bloom along with the shoot's ethereal charm and delicate palette!

The Venue

We couldn't have chosen a more enchanting location for our cover shoot than Bear Creek Farm. Situated on seventy acres of rolling hills in Lainsburg, Michigan, the farm is nestled amidst breathtaking landscapes, with a picturesque pond adorned by graceful weeping willows. The historic barn, built in 1908, exudes rustic charm and offers a picturesque backdrop for any celebration. Bear Creek Farm's allure extends beyond its natural beauty, as it provides endless photographic opportunities, a relaxing atmosphere and joyous experiences for all. And their extensive inventory of rental items really brought the entire look together!

The Look

The model's dress from Becker's Bridal was an absolute showstopper! Its strapless design and flowing silhouette added a touch of enchantment to the look, while the cascading floral appliqués gave a nod to the garden theme. The talented team at The Pretty Committee worked their magic, styling our model's hair in a effortlessly chic half-up hairstyle, accented with loose, cascading curls that delicately framed her face. The look exuded a relaxed and romantic vibe, perfectly complementing the overall theme of the shoot. To accentuate her natural beauty, the makeup was kept refreshingly minimal, allowing her radiant features to shine through. A classic veil and delicate pearl headband finished off the look, adding a touch of subtle sparkle and sophistication! Our groom was looking dapper in his classic gray suit from 1701 Bespoke.

The Cake

Look at this breathtaking three-tiered cake from MI Great Lakes Cakes! Adorned in an elegant all-white design with a delicate powder blue accent, it is a true masterpiece crafted to perfection! Nestled amidst a magnificent floral installation, the cake created a mesmerizing garden effect, as if it were a blooming marvel within a fairytale landscape. Its presence added an extra layer of allure to the already captivating scene, leaving everyone in awe of its beauty and artistry.

The Florals

The garden-like floral designs in our cover shoot from Sparrow Bloom were a true marvel, evoking a sense of natural wonder and enchantment. Soft pastel hues of pink, orange and yellow adorned the arrangements, creating a delicate and dreamy ambiance. With a whimsical flair, the designs artfully mimicked wildflowers, adding a touch of untamed beauty to the scene. The floral arrangements beautifully reflected the garden theme, transporting us to a world of blossoming charm and serenity!

The Decor Accents

Emerald Schill Studio added a touch of everlasting beauty to our flat lay display with their stunning preserved floral blocks and ring holder. The intricate designs showcased a vibrant array of colors and textures, enhancing the overall visual appeal of the design. From key chains to trays, we love all the unique ways they can preserve your bouquet, allowing its beauty to endure well beyond the wedding day. Wedding Stationery by PSR Designs of Indiana brought timeless beauty into our cover shoot with their delicate invitation design. The light blush color palette added a touch of romance and the whimsical font played off our garden theme perfectly!
