Inspired by our "Feminine Touch" theme for our 2024 Style Shoot Design Contest, sponsored by AAYS Event Rentals, this team wanted to create a shoot that was ultra feminine. Kassandra Roseboom, the photographer for this shoot, shares, "The vision of the shoot was very much inspired by the Regency Era, similar to the time period the Netflix show, Bridgerton is set in. I also knew I wanted to go ultra feminine, so lots of bows, pearls, variations of pinks/peach." Throughout the shoot, Kassandra used various shades of Pantone's 2024 Color of the Year, Peach Fuzz. This was a shoot that Kassandra always wanted to do, so she just needed to find a team who wanted to create this vision with her!

When reaching out to wedding professionals, Kassandra ended up finding the dream team of vendors! One of the challenges this shoot presented was locating the perfect vintage rentals, though. "Styling was another difficulty, considering I really wanted to focus on the details and incorporate real china and other unique vintage items, to remain as true as possible to the time period but still with modern touches," Kassandra explains. They were able to thrift, borrow or find all the pieces Kassandra imagined to make her dream come to life! Some of our favorite details are all the candlesticks throughout the shoot, the antique phone used for the audio guestbook and the delicate china that balances the elaborate tablescape.

The venue was something that was a non-negotiable for Kassandra. "It was built in the time period I was looking to incorporate, it has stunning architecture and not to mention the staff there is AMAZING," Kassandra raves. "Lighting was a little challenging since it was overcast that day but it was so beautiful." We couldn't agree more. The Cyrus Place is the perfect combination of luxury and historic charm that was exactly what this shoot needed!

No regency era shoot is complete without a stunning—and often voluminous—gown for the bride to wear. This satin gown was the fit for a princess, which was ideal for a shoot that was nicknamed "Princess of Peach". We love that this modern dress was classically designed. The puffy sleeves transport the dress back to an age of old while the full skirt brings in an air of opulence. The team also included a traditional veil for the bride to wear, and we are obsessed with the modern leaf design on the end of it. To further incorporate Peach Fuzz, the makeup team also used many peachy tones to make the bride look so glowing!

Last, but certainly not least, we have to talk about that cake! This confection is stunning enough as it is, but it is even more incredible that it was created only a few days before the shoot was to take place. Kassandra gushes, "Again, I was so blessed to have a cake designer jump on board four days before our shoot due to another cake designer dropping out and Haley at Salt and Light Sweets made it happen! Not only did she produce a stunning cake on short notice, I just had to send her some inspiration photos and colors of what I had in mind, and she showed up delivering the perfect cake!" The team also tasted it, of course, and it was absolutely delicious!
