2020 Style Shoot Design Contest Submission: A Bright & Bold, Artistic Style Shoot

Get ready to be spun on the color wheel in this submission to our 2020 Style Shoot Design Contest! Erin, planner and owner of HannahSola, wanted to bring a pop of bright color to a traditionally styled shoot. “With all the doom and gloom in the world right now, I felt the need to bring in loads of bright color with this shoot. I wanted it to be extremely light-hearted, fun and maybe bring a little life/love/joy back into the wedding community,” she says.

Erin’s inspiration was a play on boho style while bringing in lots of bold colors. “Instead of pampas grass, we have colorful balloons,” she notes. The owners of the venue also had the camper ready to rent, which made this space an ideal spot for the setup. “The camper was styled to be more upbeat and fun with a pin-up twist rather than what is seen in traditional boho weddings.” We love the addition of the balloon arch styled with shades of the 2020 Pantone Color of the Year, Classic Blue!

These dotted invitations look as though they came right out of a comic book. The inspiration was drawn from black stripes and bold colors.

This dress’s unique personality and style won Erin over. The gown’s sparkle adds a special kind of “pop” of its own! She gushes, “It was so fun to bring such a formal dress into this crazy atmosphere and have it work so perfectly.” The bride’s half-updo hairstyle is topped with a retro fuchsia belt, fashioned into a bow. With a perfect bold lip to match, this bride is ready to celebrate!

It’s not every day you see a black and white striped cake. Lined with brightly colored wooden florals down the side, this artistic confection is ready to pack a sweet punch!

These hand-painted wooden flowers capture every bright color you can imagine. Erin wanted to make as many over-the-top pieces as possible to really go big in her designs!
