Escape into uninterrupted romance in this gorgeous submission to our 2020 Style Shoot Design Contest! Katianna Lindley of bella & fern events wanted this serene wooded micro-ceremony to have the feeling of a destination wedding while centering on organic love. “In light of the COVID pandemic, the necessary changes in gatherings and the variations we have been seeing in the wedding industry, we decided that representing the more intimate approach was very on point and timely,” she adds.

This bride’s look is overflowing with ethereal beauty. Wanting to keep the focus on the bride’s organic beauty, the makeup was kept as natural as possible while highlighting the model’s eyes. This champagne gown’s long floral train was a perfect fit for this shoot’s natural vibes. The modern boho braid tied together the entire look!

We can’t get enough of these ethereal florals. Bursting with natural elegance, this bride’s bouquet looks as though it could have been picked straight from the woods.

This shoot’s private location was chosen because it could be “almost anywhere.” Katianna explains, “The woodsy, natural, rustic beauty of the forest provided a majestic space of undisturbed beauty that could not be rivaled.” This enchanted forest vibe is echoed into the rustic tablescape. With rentals provided by AAYS Event Rentals, the team was able to harmonize the natural landscape with an intimate, upscale reception.

We love the way the Pantone Color of the Year, Classic Blue, was woven into the fine details of this shoot. From the pops of blue in the stationery, ceremony arch, linens, cake decor and the groom’s attire, this moody color palette is truly enchanting.

Because the team didn’t want to draw attention away from the forest, they opted for a naked cake. “When envisioning a cake in the woods, we knew we did not want anything overly ornate,” Katianna notes. “Everything needed to blend well with the glow of the forest and the natural elements.”
