With every year, new wedding trends emerge with the passing of each season. As we take a look back at 2022, our custom cover shoots and our annual Style Shoot Design Contest, we can't help but reflect on a few of the styles, fads and themes we saw from this beauty-filled year!

Micro-Weddings

COVID restrictions forced numerous couples to host micro-weddings in 2020/2021, but this intimate trend has remained the choice of many, even into 2022! These personal celebrations are the best way to spend plenty of time with all your guests and keep costs down for your wedding.

Non-Traditional Elements

This year we continued to see couples striving to host weddings that represented themselves as a couple and showed their relationship and personalities through their choice of colors, décor, theme and more. In doing this, we saw many non-traditional routes with details like dress  and cake color!

Short Dresses

A specific non-traditional look that several brides chose for their big day was a shorter dress. Whether it was a second dress that was worn just for the reception, a statement piece of the wedding or a fun send off look, short dresses were flying off the shelves in 2022!

Bright & Bold Colors

Along with black taking over a lot of weddings through dresses and desserts, bright colors also made a statement in the wedding industry in 2022. When done well, bright and bold colors can make a beautiful and fun atmosphere for you and your guests to enjoy!

Very Peri

The 2022 Pantone Color of the Year also made an appearance in celebrations this year. The playful periwinkle color, Very Peri, was perfect for themes of all kinds from romantic spring weddings to moodier offbeat days.

Personalized Décor

Another way brides and grooms expressed themselves and their love was through customization! Many couples in 2022 opted to add a personal touch either through their signage and invitations or through homemade décor.

Pearls

For the brides that wanted vintage and/or elegant looks for their 2022 weddings, pearls were the accent of choice! While some wore pearl necklaces or found ways to adorn their hair with these dainty piececs, others incorporated this trend into their tablescapes and cakes.

Champagne Towers

Another fun element to add to your reception comes in the form of drinks! Champagne towers have been on the rise for the past few years and continued to appear in 2022 weddings. This unique form of serving beverages creates an elegant effect for your reception that acts as both décor and an experience!
