Carly Squadroni |  October 25, 2016

Karlee and Kerry Renz first met back in February of 2008, during Karlee’s sophomore year at Saint Mary’s College and Kerry’s senior year at Notre Dame, when their paths crossed at an off-campus get-together at the house of a mutual friend. By the end of the night they had exchanged phone numbers, and the rest is history. Ryan and Livia Cook found their forever after meeting online. Planning an event of epic proportion proved to be a challenge as Livia was finishing law school and the couple was living in Arizona while planning a Michigan wedding. Face-to-face vendor meetings and appointments were difficult to set up so the couple sought the assistance of Cassie Celestin of White Dress Events, an event planning firm in Grand Haven, Michigan. Livia desired a “Secret Garden” theme and trusted her planner to connect with vendors to bring her vision to fruition.

Jodi Bodtke of Giving Tree Photography was stirred by visions of an earthy, nautical wedding. The colors, flowers, décor and overall theme of this style shoot were inspired by a small town near the marina and by the beach glass that is commonly found buried in the Lake Michigan shoreline.

The Wedding Story of Marina & David Piechocki

Jenna Nelson |  October 5, 2016

Marina Grishin first took notice of David Piechocki at work when he gave an Elvis performance during a work function. His performance opened the door to a friendship and later, led to a first date. David, meanwhile, had his eye on Marina from the first day she started work. From joining the bowling team to attending a Pilates class, David did everything he could to get a moment with her. Marina says she knew David was the one for her when he agreed to join her on her 14-day trip to Europe—she asked him during their very first lunch together. “I wanted to see how spontaneous he was!” says Marina. “He did not disappoint and booked his trip immediately. We have been inseparable ever since.”
