This Alternative Detroit Elopement Meets Classic Beachy Glam

Alternative style hits the beach in this sandy style shoot! Centered just outside of bustling Detroit, Chettara of Chettara T. Photography wanted to create a simple yet rockin’ style shoot for the couple who wants to make their intimate ceremony uniquely their own. This romantic vibe combines with a soft punk look for a whole new style we can't help but love!

This simple gown steals the show with its lace overlay. The model’s classic, old-Hollywood hairstyle meets the beach with soft and playful waves. The team wanted to keep the model’s look “glam but fun,” incorporating soft pops of color for a sharper, elegant look. We especially love the pearl and star earrings!

This shoot was created before the pandemic, but Chettara believes that this simple celebration could be easily adapted to any couple that wanted to persist during this time. “Due to COVID-19, many couples had to cancel or postpone their special day, with many of them opting to go the elopement route once stay-at-home orders are lifted,” she notes. “So, this is perfect for those couples. They can go beautiful, fun and small without depending solely on the courthouse here in Detroit (or wherever they may be).”

This bouquet holds a unique combination of romantic colors and alternative greens. We love the way these florals bring out a nontraditional style in this shoot!
