Art Deco Dreams: Behind the Scenes with WeddingDay's Cover Shoot Location, Bottleworks Hotel

Situated in bustling downtown Indianapolis, Bottleworks Hotel is a classic yet modern luxury hotel that created a beautiful setting for our annual 2022 Look Book Cover Shoot.

Built in an old Coca-Cola bottling factory, this hotel combines industrial and modern perfectly. Our dream creative team had so many one-of-a-kind locales to shoot, from the stunning red hotel room doors and a camera wall to the open air courtyard. If you enjoy the artistic things in life, Bottleworks will provide the most unique Art-Deco venue for your wedding! We even had a chance to speak with Kasey Gutgsell, Marketing Specialist with Geronimo Hospitality Group, to learn more about what makes Bottleworks a unique and special place to tie the knot.

Tell us a little about the history of Bottleworks and the history of Bottleworks as a hotel and venue.

"The Bottleworks District has restored and reimagined a historic landmark on the east end of Massachusetts Avenue. The 1930s era Coca-Cola bottling plant was once the largest bottler of Coca-Cola in the country. In its prime, it produced and distributed two million bottles per week. The hotel opened its doors in December of 2020 after three years of restoration and revitalization. Today, Bottleworks Hotel dazzles with a mix of history and modern luxury with distinctive art and architecture at every turn. While we’ve adapted the space in a new light, our team has gone to great lengths to make sure the original exterior and terrazzo floors shine like new. The building’s Art-Deco past has become its present."

"Bottleworks Hotel helps a couple prepare for their big day by working with them months in advance. From booking, to planning, to execution, and everything in between. This ensures that the couple is confident in their choice to book with us and that they are taken care of from start to finish. We work directly with our food and beverage department and our executive chef to supply the meals for the wedding. We also offer a food tasting which allows the couple to choose what options they would like for their big day. Couples are given the option to work with our preferred vendors for linen, floral and entertainment services to bring their day to life."

What do you love most about working with couples? 

"What our team loves most about working with couples is that we form connections and help them create their dream day. It is a creative process planning and executing a wedding from start to finish and seeing it come to life in different ways for each couple who walks through our doors is something special."
