When Brennigan of BG Photography Studios and Jessica of Jessica Smith Weddings set out to collaborate on a style shoot, they initially had a free-spirited, Bohemian concept in mind. Their original vision evolved as the elements came to life with an elaborate, rich color palette. As they developed their concept, they brought in the vendors who they felt confident could breathe life into their vision. When vendors like Marco Alexzondra of Marco Alexzondra Floral and Event Design and Amy Briske of Sundance Studio were brought into the fold, the style shoot became a Berry and Gold Sundance Wedding with brilliant elements of gold flatware, mismatched china and lush floral. The end result was a rustic-meets-vintage style shoot that was both elegant and chic.
Brennigan and Jessica had their hearts set on utilizing Sundance Studio in Benton Harbor, MI from the very beginning. Sundance recently opened to the public in Summer 2015 and is owned and operated by the same people who own The Blue Dress Barn and The MillCreek Barns! "The renovation story makes you fall in love with the venue and owners. They created one large space from four separate buildings by removing the walls. The imagination and dreaming it took to create this venue is inspirational. Sundance Studios was a center point in our planning from the beginning; we adored the natural light and open space, but we also wanted a venue with history," says Brennigan.
Pair a stunning space with a stunning model (looking at you, Alycia Choroszucha!), add floral, decor and brilliant vision, and voila! Inspiration comes to life!
