Elegant and boho were the two things that came to mind when Christina of Christina Leskovar Photography dreamt up this unique style shoot. “I wanted something whimsical in a boho style, yet also very pretty and classy to match with my bright, romantic and airy photographic style,” explains Christina. “All in all, the details for the shoot pulled together fairly easily, and I credit that to Melissa’s (Forever and a Day Events and Design) planning and designing skills!”
An airy and white-bricked studio coupled with an outdoor setting served as the locations for the shoot. The beautiful florals, designed by Forever and A Day Events and Design also aligned perfectly with the pretty and bright scenes, featuring hues of white, pink, purple and yellow. “The bouquet paired perfectly with the bride’s lace top,” says Christina. “Some of the blooms that made up the centerpiece and bouquet were ranunculus, David Austin Rose Juliet, tulips, spray roses and snapdragons. Each type of bloom helped create the level of dimension and texture we desired for our design aesthetic.”
Texture was also a feature in the gorgeous dress and its lace top and separate tulle skirt. The beautifully designed half up, braided hairstyle laced with purple blooms is nothing short of dreamy while the bride's eyes make a bold statement with hues of pinks and browns.
Christina says, “The stationery created by Sable & Gray Paper Co. was executed perfectly. The baby blue added that touch of boho that we were looking for in this shoot. We wanted several different elements to come together and this invitation suite was the perfect final touch. The watercolor design added just the right amount of elegance.”
A grand naked cake accented with delicious sugared berries and colorful fruit tarts served as the mouth-watering desserts.
As for the decor details, Christina says, “The antique purple runner added the perfect amount of textured elegance to the farmhouse table from The Rental Company. The gold-rimmed dinnerware from Gigi & LaClede Vintage Dish Rentals was a beautiful touch to each place setting and held the grape jam favors perfectly, and the pink goblets and gold flatware complemented the dinnerware so well. The white chiavari chairs and light pink napkins added that touch of boho when combined with the antique purple runner and rich, brown farmhouse table.”
