Camping Doesn't Mean Roughing it in this South Haven, Michigan Style Shoot!

The vision for this shoot was to create a camping elopement that was extravagant! The idea for this festival-inspired style shoot came from Off Map Glamping contacting White Dahlia Events seeking advice for trying to break into the wedding market. Kelsey Hahn from White Dahlia Events explains, "We have always wanted to do a glamping styled shoot. We felt it was the perfect location and would help get their name out there!"

"It was a crazy busy season for everyone, honestly the idea of pulling off a styled shoot in the middle of the season seemed insane. We had a hard time finding vendors that wanted to even be involved," Kelsey explains. Luckily, they were able to pull a perfect team of vendors together for this fabulous shoot! The team wanted to achieve a boho yet modern look with plenty of today's popular trends such as the use of pampas grass and black décor items to complement the amber embellishments and the fall season as a whole.

One of Kelsey's favorite additions was the stylized roses for the wedding. Kelsey raves, "I personally loved what Kris did with the ceremony and stuck roses in the ground." The other décor items were planned and brought by Kelsey. They utilized peacock chairs, lots of rattan furniture, black flatware and vintage colored glasses to make their vision come to life. All the signage for the shoot was also made and brought by Kelsey!

Getting the stunning dresses for the brides was quite the task. Two dresses got lost in the mail that Kelsey thought would've been perfect for the shoot. They also planned on getting a lacy romper, but that never made it either. "We drove up to Spring Sweet on the morning of the shoot and they were kind enough to let us borrow two dresses so we picked out the most boho ones we could find," Kelsey gushes. For the hair, the goal was loose and playful while Kelsey wanted the makeup to be simple yet elegant.

The last part to pulling off this shoot was a dessert, and we think they hit the jackpot. Kelsey admits, "We wanted something playful with festival vibes, that's when we reached out to Mimi's Cupcakes because we knew she had the cupcake truck!" Every cupcake from that truck looks absolutely scrumptious!
