This Detroit E-Session is Filled to the Brim with Festive Fall Colors: The Engagement of Whitney and Chase

Whitney matched with Chase on an online dating service while she was at a friend's house. After a few texts and phone calls, they went on a date. While vacationing in Naples, Florida, Chase surprised Whitney with a cruise, chef's-choice dinner and stroll on a romantic beach where he popped the question.
 

Though Chase picked the ring on his own, Whitney helped him with by sending some photos of rings she liked. "About six months before, I set off to try some rings on to determine what I thought looked best on my hand," Whitney explains. "I sent Chase the winners, and he chose which one based on that." Chase decided on a classic and timeless oval diamond with a halo and white gold band.
 

Finding their photographer wasn't difficult or by luck. Whitney raves, "We decided to book Nicole of Vera Vita Media based on her amazing portfolio of pictures that we saw on her social media." After following her for several years, Whitney knew she would capture beautiful photos of their engagement. Picking engagement session outfits was a little more challenging. It took a few weeks of trial and error, but the happy couple ended up with something they loved together and that matched Michigan in the fall!
 

While Whitney knew who she wanted in her wedding party and a few other small details, Chase proposed an idea that inspired her. "I had
always imagined having my wedding here in Michigan. However, when Chase proposed the idea of a destination wedding I was instantly intrigued and was on board right away," Whitney raves. They are settled on having their wedding in Fort Myers, Florida!
 

Planning has so far been good for Whitney and Chase. "The majority of how the wedding is coming together has been decided jointly, following our engagement. Chase, especially, was blown away by how many things had to be decided," Whitney admits. Once they decided on a local wedding planner—because planning a Florida wedding while living full-time in Michigan is difficult—things have started to run smoothly. With great vendor recommendations and many years of experience, their planner is making sure their wedding day will go off without a hitch!
