Hollie and Brian met in high school, then reconnected ten years later. Sparks flew, and they knew it was meant to be. Brian wanted to propose at the farm Hollie’s parents owned before they sold it, which made it a memorable sentimental experience!
Hollie wanted to find a dress that was comfortable enough for her to dance in. We love how this simple style can get you dancing all night long!
The couple knew they wanted to make their wedding fun for their guests, and everything else fell into place. “I knew I wanted a cohesive feel to everything, but wasn’t necessarily stuck on any one color or theme for all my choices,” Hollie says. “We had a lot of help from our family and friends. Their willingness to support us was inspiring enough. If they had something to offer or contribute we went with it!”
What we love
During the hunt for their venue, Hollie’s parents offered their barn to host the event. Hollie and Brian became our favorite D.I.Y. couple, adding their own special touches to their day. She says, “My fiancé and I built all of our tables for our guests at our reception. I saw a champagne wall on Pinterest but couldn’t find what I was looking for, so I built one!” The whole family got in on the creative process, and together they helped the venue match the vision in Hollie’s dreams!
Advice from the couple
Hollie encourages future brides to always accept help from family and friends. She notes, “It’s a fun process if you’re sharing it with friends and making memories. Don’t let the little decisions weigh on you. Decisions are easy if you can stick to it! Any decision is better than none.”
