An E-Session: What is it Really About?

Engagement sessions (also known as E-sessions) are not just for getting "the announcement shot.”  Rather, they’re about capturing the relationship that's unique to each couple. It's also a special time for your photographer to get to know both of you and for you to know and trust the person behind the lens.

There is nothing more romantic than a newly engaged couple so this really is all about the two of you! It’s about making this special time in your life stand still. Relationship building starts with your very first meeting with your photographer so by the time your e-session begins, nerves are calmed and you can relax and just have fun! By the time your wedding day comes, you will be a pro in front of the lens.

The advantage of being an on-location photographer is that the world is my studio.  I encourage my couples to take me to the places that have special meaning to them. Once we are there, it doesn't take long for emotions to be rekindled then it's my job to capture the joy in those moments.
