When Courtney's childhood friend Alexys and Kyle's good friend Alan invited them over for a game night, Courtney and Kyle never thought they would meet the love of their lives! After dating awhile, Kyle proposed while they were on a trip to see Yellowstone National Park and Grand Teton. While they were staying in their VRBO in Waipiti, Wyoming, Kyle made a sign for Courtney's daughter to wear that said, "Mommy, will you marry Kyle?"

Before she went dress shopping, Courtney had a bunch of pictures of dresses she thought she would want. Though they were all different—some with lots of lace and details and other simple and elegant—they all had something she liked. "I did try on many dresses the day we went to look and this dress was the only one that made me tear up and feel like a bride. It had beautiful details in the buttons down the back and I added the belt to give a little something extra to the beauty it already held," Courtney raves. We love this trumpet-style gown that is elegant and stunning!

On their drive home from out west after their engagement, Courtney started her wedding planning. For the year that they were engaged, Courtney stalked wedding pages and downloaded planning apps to help their day come together. Since Kyle is a country boy and Courtney has a little bit of everything in her, they settled on an earthy and rustic ceremony hosted in a barn with plenty of natural landscape around them. Courtney shares, "We both love nature and the tranquility that the natural beauty brings. I always said our wedding was rustic meets earthy and the old barn on the property with the pond and farm was just perfect for us."

What We Love

A subtle yet meaningful touch that Courtney and Kyle added to their wedding day was in the florals. "One unique touch during our wedding was adding pink primrose to our flowers which were combination of white roses, babies breath and greenery. The primrose was to honor my younger sister who passed away two years ago after battling health issues her entire 19 years of life," Courtney explains.

Advice from the Couple

Courtney and Kyle advise, "Take it all in–every moment, and remember that in the end its about you and your partner! All the stress literally faded away when we were finally at the alter with the love of our lives. Its worth the months of planning to look back and see all your family and friends having the time of their lives celebrating your love!"
