An Elegant and Intimate Indianapolis Wedding Space: Meet The Balmoral House

"The Balmoral House was the most perfect intimate, elegant venue in the Indianapolis area. We had 125 guests total and it was very accommodating. Our wedding was on a Friday and they allowed us to set up and decorate during rehearsal that Thursday. It felt so good to not feel rushed and have most of the decorating done the day before. Our DJ appreciated being able to set up all of his equipment and do soundcheck the day before as well. He was able to set up a table on the wooden deck for the ceremony music and then had a spacious set up next to the fireplace by the foyer. We received so many compliments from our guests about how gorgeous the venue is and how beautiful the ceremony was. I’m grateful we chose the Balmoral House as our wedding venue!"

"The Balmoral House is an intimate, exquisite event venue rich in both charm and elegance, unparalleled to any other in the Indianapolis area.  

The property has belonged to the Eaton Family for three generations. In that time it has gone through several transformations, in addition to being the family's home, much of the property was farmland for many years, in the nineties it was transformed into a private Golf Club with a 9-hole golf course and in 2016 The Balmoral House opened to the public for wedding and other social events. The golf course is no longer in operation though the beautifully landscaped course is still there and a wonderful background to many of our couples wedding photos.

The Balmoral House is a 10,000-square-foot former private residence complete with an elegant reception hall, grand fireplaces, large windows, spiral staircases, private spaces for both bridal party and groomsmen as well as our grand deck and expansive patio space. Surrounding The Balmoral House are 20 acres of premier real estate full of lush greenery, mature trees, walking paths and bridges, and our Beach Pergola overlooking a pond. This stunning venue is perfect for wedding ceremonies and receptions!

What inspires you to be in the wedding industry?

"We have always enjoyed celebrating life events with our own family and friends on the property. The Balmoral House venue has allowed us to expand that legacy of life's celebrations to our community."
 

What do you love most about working with couples?

"The best part of working with couples throughout the wedding process is not just seeing how the flowers, dresses and arrangements come together. Those are the fun details. What really makes it special is being part of their story. Knowing that they chose to begin their life together at The Balmoral House is truly an honor for us. We want to be sure that they can embrace the moments of the day without worry about the details and carry the joyous memories of this first day forward throughout their marriage."
