An Elegant Michigan Tent Wedding; The Real Wedding of Amelia and Brandon Laureys

Amelia and Brandon knew they wanted to be in each other’s lives forever very shortly after they started dating. Brandon popped the question when the couple was enjoying a stroll through a picturesque vineyard. “He had my favorite color flowers under the pergola and a photographer hiding in the vineyard capturing the proposal!” Amelia gushes.

Amelia was down on her luck when her wedding dress was ruined during alterations less than three weeks away from her wedding. Luckily, a family friend swooped in to the rescue and provided a new dress for her to wear! “It is a one-of-a-kind dress with crystals sewn into the bodice and skirt,” she gushes. We love those one-of-a-kind lacy sleeves! 

Planning was all hands on deck for Amelia’s family--as wedding professionals at Burns Rent-Alls Inc., Special Events, they knew just what to do! She says her parents started booking vendors the very next day! The couple had the ceremony at the same place where Brandon proposed. We love the light and airy atmosphere of this tent! What we love

This couple’s wedding was all about family--and they even included their grandmothers to be part of the fun! She recalls, “Brandon and I asked my grandma and her best friend to be our Flower Grannies, which was the best idea ever! They had so much fun and we loved being able to include them in our wedding.”

Advice from the couple

Amelia urges future brides to hire a planner to take away the stress of coordinating your big day! “Your wedding day will fly by in what feels like an hour, be sure to spend time with your new husband and enjoy the day,” she says. “Also, taking a honeymoon right after was fantastic because we got to start our lives out as a married couple with complete peace and relaxation!”
