The Vision

When preparing for this shoot, Ashley Brost of Luva Events, envisioned a couple who was inspired by their love of travel. Channeling this vibe, she wanted to create a European-inspired romantic wedding scene. Once the warmth of the apricot and butternut were added to the soft blue color palette, she knew she had struck gold! Aubrey & Brandon Visuals and Clark Videography captured these colors in all their soft and elegant beauty.

The Venue

With Carmel becoming a blossoming city for weddings, Ashley desired a venue in that area to host this shoot. Once she saw Hotel Carmichael, Ashley knew it was the one! The elegant details and romantic colors around the space were what really sold the team. An additional benefit was its close proximity to notable landmarks and beautiful photo-op locations. Some of our favorite aspects of the hotel include the incredible natural light in the ballroom, expansive balcony, grand staircase and cozy lounge, to name a few!

The Florals

Duet Floral Studio designed whimsical and organic floral arrangements that gave this shoot plenty of romance! They chose to use clouds of blue delphinium to decorate the space and bring in the pop of blue that complemented the ballroom. The bride’s bouquet and centerpieces were the perfect spots to showcase the apricot color in the design. We love how the different textures help separate the colors in these arrangements even more and create plenty of balance in the shoot!

The Décor

Elegance and romance come to life in the reception tablescapes! The toasting glasses and glass candleholders from Luva Events along with the stemware from Hotel Carmichael elevate the whole reception scene. We also adore how the pale blue napkins pop right off the white table cloths! Another unique touch that brings elegance into the shoot are the square plates that the team used. This simple element makes all the difference in taking your décor to the next level!

The Cake

This immaculate three-tiered cake is simple yet elegant! The genius bakers at Miss May Designs created a classic white confection but added height and character to its shape. Ashley didn't want all the tiers to be the same so they designed the bottom layer with a traditional round shape and then topped it with two square layers. Florals were added on to the final design to help tie in the whimsical and organic feel.

The Looks

Ashley was looking for a timeless and classic dress to complement her design and The Frock Bridal had just the one! "The Collins dress is a simple luxe crepe gown with a strapless plunging V-neck. One of my favorite aspects of this gown was all of the embellishments that we were able to add to create more drama!" Ashley raves. These included a luxe crepe bolero, a pearl high-neck blouse, a large tulle bow and pearl armbands. We think it is so fun to be able to create so many different looks with just one gown! Both Wedding Hair with Ash and The Mane Bridal styled this bride with a clean and classic look. "Our bride had short hair so we chose a classic Hollywood wave and our hair stylist, Ashley, added a fun silver hairpiece," Ashley shares. The makeup was kept rather simple to highlight her natural beauty and to complement the timeless nature of the shoot. Two different ties and suspenders from The Bold Bow Tie completed the groom’s look.

The Signage

We are in love with this classically simple welcome sign designed by Flora + Flame! Sometimes, when planning an elegant wedding, less is more, and this décor piece proves just that!

The hanging signature drink sign provides a touch of elegance to the bar setup while pulling in the light blue color scheme.
