This Georgia Destination Wedding Shows Southern Glam at its Finest: The Real Wedding of Destiny and Wesley Benton

Destiny and Wesley met at a mutual friend’s graduation. The two became fast friends, and soon knew it was meant to be! Wesley popped the question on a beautiful Georgia waterfront with rose petals and candles. We love a classic romantic proposal!

Taking the plunge, Destiny ordered her dress online before ever trying it on--and before she was engaged! “I had always admired their dresses and when my favorite went to a final sale, I knew. I had to get it and just seriously hope I would love it just as much in person. We had been talking about marriage very seriously at this point and I didn't feel it was too premature to buy my dream dress. But, long story short, it came in the mail, was more beautiful than I could have imagined, and fit perfectly. We were engaged one month later.”

What we love

Wesley gave a special token of his love to Destiny: a vintage hummingbird broach. She gushes, “I loved this because it was something so small to everyone else, yet so significant to him and I. Now for more reasons than one.”

Advice from the couple

Destiny encourages couples to find a good support system. “The closer you get to your wedding day, the more stressed you’re going to be,” she says. “Enjoy the process as much as you can. It is normal to feel overwhelmed and want to just elope halfway through. Just remember, it’ll be worth it in the end.”
