The concept for this shoot was born out of the idea to promote a new airstream service. Tanya of Tanya Lynnette Events explains that this boho shoot was the perfect way to combine the new service with the old, stunningly beautiful barn venue. “The venue has got quite the personality--a little mid-century a little boho,” Tanya adds. “We pushed the boho without it being beachy.”

The steep hill of the venue made it difficult for the magpie bus. However, the team worked around the challenges to show off how perfect the bus can be combined in any setting--especially a barn!

The team wanted the bride’s dress to be made locally to keep up the hand-crafted vibe. Tanya notes, “The shop took our inspiration pictures and ran with it--we got material options and style suggestions, they took it upon themselves to meet the female model and then provided us with a mock-up dress.” We simply adore the high collar feature this dress has to offer!

Can you believe that the yummy food in this shoot came from a food truck? Tanya recalls that during the shoot, it started raining, nearly destroying all the food at once. The team had to work together to save what they could, and still managed to show off a delicious display of tasty treats!

The florals used in this shoot perfectly complement the outdoor fields surrounding the venue. “We wanted to highlight a fresh approach to the more used rustic barn look and kick it up a notch with a modern vibe,” Tanya says. “We kept it natural using wood and fabrics. It was soft with just enough edge to it.” The team focused on using a palette full of oranges, yellows and greens to create a natural, earthy feeling, with unique textures to create the perfect bouquet for the boho bride.

Tanya explains how diversity played a large role in this shoot--even down to what the bride and groom are wearing! The groom took on a more traditional look, while the bride has a more “natural and dewy” elegance. Tanya gushes, “The difference between them was the perfect mix of diversity and harmony.”
