This Indiana Engagement Is Dripping With Gothic Romance: The Engagement of Rachelle and Daniel

Lights, camera, fall in love! Rachelle and Daniel met on the stage of Rachelle’s burlesque debut. The couple took a trip down to New Orleans, where Daniel proposed during a tour of a cemetery. He even captured her reaction via speed shot on his camera!

Rachelle knew she wanted an offbeat look for her ring. The moonstone ring that Daniel chose is full of uniqueness that we love! “I’ve never seen anything like it before, and he knew me well enough to find something that is so me!” Rachelle says.

Because Daniel is a photographer, this pair wanted to do something a little outside the box for their session. Finding Kae Marie Photography on Instagram, the couple knew they had found the perfect photographer for them. “We fell in love with Kristen’s more moody edits and how she captured really authentic moments with couples,” Rachelle explains.

From Beetlejuice masks to a soft recreation of the Addams Family, Rachelle and Daniel incorporated their love of all things spooky into their session! It’s no surprise that they are planning to get married on Halloween. “Think vintage, Southern gothic Halloween,” Rachelle says. “It’s definitely focused on being an experience, so we knew we wanted great food, great music and great people.” They are even encouraging their guests to wear costumes. We can’t wait to see how it turns out.
