Sometimes the best love stories begin with the most unexpected moments. For Courtney and Tony, theirs started at the gym when Courtney was having trouble getting the water fountain to work. Tony came to the rescue, fixing it for her before making his next move: asking if she had a boyfriend. At the time, she did—and turned him down. It would take nearly two years before their paths aligned again, but when Courtney was single, the timing was finally right!

Their proposal was just as memorable. During a trip to the zoo, Tony got down on one knee in front of the monkeys, turning an ordinary outing into a moment they’ll never forget! From there, the couple began planning their next chapter together. The ring Tony chose for Courtney is filled with thoughtful details. Her birthstone, the diamond, takes center stage, while Tony’s birthstone, tourmaline, is tucked inside the setting beneath the center stone.  Two additional hidden halos wrap around the base of the center diamond, remaining virtually invisible from the top while revealing themselves when the ring is viewed from the side. Tony added one more deeply personal touch inside the band: a Bible verse that matches a tattoo Courtney has on her arm. Together, the details create a ring that is more than just beautiful—it tells their love story!

For their engagement session, the couple returned to a familiar photographer. Kaylee of KMP Photography LLC had photographed Courtney and Tony previously, making her an easy choice. "Kaylee has taken our pictures before and always does an amazing job!" Courtney raves. When the couple shared their vision for the session, they knew they wanted an outdoor setting filled with wood and greenery. Kaylee suggested a location that perfectly matched their aesthetic, creating a natural backdrop for their portraits. The resulting setting brought an organic, romantic feel to the session while keeping the focus on the couple!

Their outfits came together with a little bit of trial and error. Courtney purchased several dresses to try, while Tony found a shirt to coordinate with her looks. The combination allowed them to create a variety of portraits while keeping their style comfortable and authentic.

As for the wedding itself, the couple is still letting their vision take shape. "Still figuring it out every day," Courtney shares. While they may not have every detail decided just yet, they are enjoying watching their plans develop. "It's fulfilling to see everything start to come together," she adds.
