"The venue is the best in town, especially for the price! A beautiful historic building that overlooks the courthouse. The staff was great and easy to work with. You can bring in your own caterers which makes it even more affordable. If you're looking for a wedding venue in Bloomington, this is the place to go. It's at the center of downtown where everything is! Best part was after the party, we were within walking distance of everything."

-Darcy Teague, 2019 bride

History, culture, and character--all are provided by the venues at Fountain Square! This timeless venue is a beautiful escape located in the middle of downtown Bloomington, Indiana. The historical venue boasts hand-painted ceilings and providing three spacious options: the Ballroom, the Fountain and the Atriums!

Please tell us a little more about fountain square

"Fountain Square is an inspirational venue re-emerging into the event scene offering couples a one-of-a-kind experience. Though it has always offered The Ballroom--a timeless, Victorian space with hand-painted vaulted ceilings--it now has officially opened The Fountain and The Atriums up to host spectacular gatherings--increasing the array of event possibilities."

What sets your venue apart from others?

"Fountain Square is a mid-1800s, four-level venue boasting an abundance of detailed character located in Bloomington, Indiana, on the downtown’s historic square.

The Ultimate Experience package allows for a number of unique event scenarios. Even pairing one space with another provides a multi-level perspective, keeping the event scene fresh and exciting. The package also provides the use of a kitchen, table and chairs (including the setup) and the option to add-on the dance floor.

'The Ultimate Experience' package allows for an event to utilize all four event spaces on varying levels. This multi-level perspective encourages interactivity, engagement, and socialization amongst guests.

Fountain Square's Events Manager can assist by providing direction for The Ballroom’s layout and setup if desired, as well as provide suggestions to obtain other local resources for an event’s needs."

Why should a bride choose your venue?

"The ambiance of the venue is timeless and impressionable--guests will speak about an event long after it’s over. Unlike many venues, Fountain Square does not restrict catering options, couples may choose whomever they prefer. Plus, if The Ballroom is selected or paired with another space, the additional (above mentioned) perks are included."

Do you have anything exciting that you would like to share?

"In addition to now offering The Fountain and The Atriums as unique event spaces, Fountain Square also recently launched its new website. One of the perks of the new website is that it allows guests to submit questions and make requests for event needs, including the option the view its reservation calendar live on the site."

What inspires you to be in the wedding industry?

Cathy, the Events Coordinator, provides this answer: "Being able to give guidance to the layout of the diagram or decorations. I love the one-on-one I’m able to have with my brides, and grooms, too! It’s so heartwarming when I run into them in Bloomington, or once their family has started to grow, a majority of them come back to see me during the special holiday events we have."

What do you love most about working with couples?

Cathy says, "I absolutely love being a part of my clients' planning in such a special part of the new beginning of their lives together! It’s such a happy time! I’m grateful to be in the position I’m in! I always get hugs from my brides! Very rewarding!"
