During their senior year of high school, Paige and Izak worked in different departments of the same grocery store. Before she went home one night, Paige noticed Izak at the checkout counter and told her friends about him. They encouraged her to message him on Instagram and threatened to talk to him on her behalf if she didn't! Needless to say, Paige ended up messaging Izak. When it was time to propose, Izak took a week off work to spend Paige's winter break with her. He took her to lunch and rented an igloo at Dablon Winery, where he got down on one knee and asked Paige to spend the rest of her life with him!
Paige's family has been going to a specific jeweler since her grandfather went there many years ago. While she was there with her dad, Paige cracked a joke about needing a ring soon. One of the salespeople told her to try on some bands, and Paige got a clear picture of the ring she wanted and created a wishlist for Izak to refer to whenever he came in. To Paige's surprise it was only a month or two later that he proposed. "He picked a white gold band that twists on both sides of the main diamond. It has small diamonds all along the twist and the center stone is an emerald-cut diamond," Paige shares. We love how elegant this ring looks!
Finding their perfect photographer was a long process for Paige and Izak. After messaging some and talking with a few at bridal expos, they were able to narrow their search down to six photographers and ended up choosing Trysh Jaeger Photography. Paige explains, "After talking
to all of them we both agreed that we loved Trysh’s work the best, and her personality fits with ours!" While talking with Trysh about their engagement session, Trysh asked what they were looking for with their photos. Paige and Izak wanted a rustic vibe, so she suggested two places. When Paige and Izak looked them up online, they fell in love with Deep River County Park!
So far, wedding planning is going smoothly for Paige and Izak. "We have been able to get most of the big ticket items booked for the wedding! We have had a great time getting everything together for our big day," Paige raves. It helps that they want similar things out of their wedding day. They both imagined an indoor ceremony and reception on a date as close to their dating anniversary as possible with burnt orange as one of the main colors. We can't wait to see how their wedding comes to life!
