Leah and Zac met through a dating app in 2019. After dating for a while and discovering their desire to move closer to Indianapolis, Leah and Zac decided to move to Westfield, Indiana together. Zac took a day off work and took Leah on a trip to Indian Field and proposed halfway to the White River Pedestrian Bridge!
Wanting a ring that best reflected her personality, Leah knew she didn't want anything traditional. Leah and Zac decided to design her ring together from a store Leah has used for other jewelry, then Zac wouldn't tell Leah when he ordered it. "My ring is called ‘Leda the Swan’, chosen for its elegance and timelessness," Leah explains.
It was Zac's mother who came up with the interesting idea of having an engagement session in Las Vegas! Instead of choosing to look for a photographer in Las Vegas, Leah went with one whose work she'd seen before. "The decision to choose Sweet Caroline Photography was an easy one. I had seen her on Instagram and loved her skill, editing style, and her willingness to travel," Leah gushes. "When I asked Caroline, she was just as excited as we were!" Caroline was even kind enough to give Leah and Zac access to her client closet to pick outfits before they left for Vegas.
After they were engaged, Leah threw herself into planning for their wedding. Leah shares, "I made a mood board that incorporated all things I love—earthy colors, dried and fresh florals, pampas grass, and macrame. I knew I wanted a bohemian-style wedding and I cannot wait to see my vision come to life." The happy couple is loving the planning process while continuing to check all the details off their list as their wedding date comes closer.
