This Minimalist and Modern Style Shoot Has All the Moody Winter Vibes

"I was wanting to add more inclusive shoots to the local area after one of my clients expressed not feeling comfortable talking to other vendors because of who she loves," Chelsea from Chelsea Marie Photography explains. "They were married in Wisconsin and didn't have the surrounding love they wanted so we created their day over again so they could experience what a true vendor support group was." 
 

What drew Chelsea and her team to this venue was that it was new! There are so many things that a creative team can do with a fresh venue. Immediately, the venue gave off a modern and edgy vibe, which was perfect for their wintery vision. We love the dark and moody accent wall that is the perfect backdrop for wedding photos!

The main theme for the shoot was an icy winter wedding with some life and color. Chelsea gushes, "Winter is icy and pure. We chose the greenery to bring the winter in, blue to reflect the icy winters we have and white to balance it all out."  The floral was the best way to breathe life and natural color into the shoot without taking away from their wintry feel. Many of the décor items came from the vendors' personal collections, and Chelsea and her mother created the ceremony arbor that the brides look so beautiful under!
 

Speaking of the brides, look how gorgeous they are! The bridal shop picked a few outfits that were within the brides' measurements, and Chelsea let them choose what they felt was best. We think their taste is impeccable! They are so stunning in their outfits. Their hair and makeup were also perfectly styled. "Alpenglow Artistry chose the colors used to bring out their warmth and balance out our icy palette. For their hair, Sabrena chose updos to open their features and show off their beautiful faces," Chelsea raves.
 

Last, but certainly not least, take a look at that cake! Chelsea told the bakery their idea for their shoot and let them run with it. What an incredible confection they came up with! This two-tiered cake is full of delicious details. From the blue ombre frosting to the floral decorations along the side all the way to the sprinkles on top and bottom, this cake perfectly fits their icy, winter theme!
