A Modern, Elegant Styled Micro-Wedding in Lake Geneva

Sami, of Everly Collective, wanted to create a style shoot that showed brides that they don't have to compromise any details when they decide to have a micro-wedding. "I had this vision of a modern romantic garden setting with clean whites but also a fun party feel once the sun went down," Sami explains. Sami also wanted to bring together an amazing team of vendors in her area to foster community and be able to show off their talents.

In true modern fashion, the team decided to incorporate two dresses into the shoot: a silk ballgown for the wedding and chic art deco dress for the reception. The bride's hair was done up in Hollywood waves for the wedding and a fun low bun for the reception. Her makeup was kept light for both looks, but a pop of red lipstick was added to the reception look. Sami gushes, "I love the way the first dress complemented the flush white florals. The second dress gave a ritzy glam feeling that paired well with the champagne pop and tower. It was a show stopper with the hard flash and looked so cool in the red room."

The venue is a staple for the Lake Geneva, Wisconsin area. "The classic white exterior with black shutters sold me," Sami shares. "The grounds are full of rich greenery and florals. The bar and cocktail room brought in the fun party feel I was hoping to include." It was the perfect place to show off modern elegance with subtle classic touches. They even provided the silverware for that gorgeous tablescape.

"The cafe chairs are to die for!" Sami raves. "Also, the tablecloth is extremely nice in person, very thick and luxe. It had a slight texture and looked even better in person." We are in love with how elegant the table setting ended up! The gold accents in the silverware and the candle holders is so stunning against the white tablecloth. A fun yet classic element added to the reception is the champagne tower, because what's a party without a little champagne?

The floral design was truly a team effort. Many vendors gave the team flowers to use for the shoot to help make the garden theme come to life. From locally-grown and foraged flowers to some gorgeous zinnias and lisianthus, each flower in the shoot was specifically chosen and adds important detailing! "The arch used was custom made by the floral company! They worked on it for over a week so huge shout out to them for going above and beyond," Sami says.
