A Modern Rustic Dream in Plainfield, Illinois: The Real Wedding of Taylor and Ryan Probst

Taylor and Ryan's journey to their special day had a unique start – they met at their local racetrack while racing Midgets in the POWRi series as competitors back in 2017! Fast forward to the proposal, which happened after a day at the bowling alley celebrating the end of COVID quarantine and Taylor's mom's birthday.

The couple initially considered a destination wedding but opted for a local venue to avoid logistical concerns. They found their dream venue, a modern yet understated locale, boasting outdoor amenities like fireplaces, a cigar hut and an outdoor bar – all perfect for their relaxed vibe. The venue's aesthetics ensured not a single spot lacked beauty for photos by the talented Danielle Schury Photography! In fact, Taylor and Ryan's theme and color palette of all black and white were heavily influenced by the elegance of the venue. It even provided ample space for the bridal party and the groomsmen to get ready. 

Taylor found her perfect dress at a salon local to where she grew up. She says, "Going into the try-on, I knew what style I wanted and that I wanted lace, however it took about 10 dresses to find 'the one'." We think she looks absolutely beautiful in this gown! 

 

What We Love

Taylor and Ryan's wedding was a heartfelt celebration with their one-year-old son, cherished family and friends, and a touching memory table honoring lost loved ones!

 

Advice from the Couple

Taylor strongly recommends budgeting for a day-of coordinator. "This was hands down the best decision we made in our budgeting process. Having our day-of coordinator there allowed us to completely enjoy our day, stress free, because we knew that everything from set-up to tear-down was handled," she raves.
