This Moody Style Shoot Showcases a Tropical Summer in Holland, Michigan

This floral style shoot has us dreaming of warmer weather. Monique of Mitten Floral was craving something new, fresh and exotic, so she paired up with Abi of Rodriguez Photo Company to create this stunning tropical shoot!

The biggest highlight in this shoot is the array of cascading florals. “We wanted to highlight women of color and a tropical boho vibe,” Monique explains. The team wanted the plants to showcase a pastel palette, which is unusual in most tropical shoots. Because she wanted a specific color, Monique had some of the plants flown in from Hawaii overnight!

The wide and natural landscape of the blueberry farm provided a lot of flexibility for this team to capture the ideal indie vibe. Monique says, “With access to a pond and awesome landscape, it was kind of perfect!”

Because the team wanted to pick up on a boho California trend, they used little details to convey the big style they were going for! For example, the lovely flowers weaved into the brides’ hair added a soft touch of boho. The bronzed makeup style added a touch of beachiness that vibes well with the outdoor surroundings. Altogether, the team nailed this look!
