MacKenzie and Vincent met on a dating app during their last semester in college. They hit it off and started walking the Indianapolis canal on their dates. Vincent wanted to propose in the spot they both loved, so he popped the question on the bridge overlooking the water. “It was just us two, no one else around, exactly how I wanted it to be,” MacKenzie says.
The pair went ring shopping together, taking note of MacKenzie’s love of vintage style. “My ring is very intricate and different from any that I’ve seen,” she says. “I didn’t want something that was the same as others. I wanted something that was really just, me.”
The venue the pair chose for their wedding recommended the couple use Alison Mae Photography. “Really, by just talking to Alison on the phone, I think I knew that I wanted to use her,” MacKenzie gushes. “Her personality and organization really spoke to me, and she also sent me examples of her photography right away.”
MacKenzie has a clear dream of what she wants at her wedding. She explains she wants a classy, elegant wedding using the same colors that her parents used: deep red, black and white. We can’t wait to see the final product!
