Retro Love: A Rustic, Jewel-Toned Styled Wedding Shoot in Benton Harbor, Michigan

The idea behind this shoot was to create something that emitted a jazzy vibe with the main color scheme being rich and vibrant jewel tones. We think this talented design team perfectly captured a retro shoot complete with bold colors!
 

Finding the right venue was not an issue for this team. The venue that they chose perfectly fit the aesthetic thanks to some updates and renovations that the owners recently implemented. From the rustic exterior to the industrial interior, this venue was an ideal match! Some of our favorite décor items around the venue are the instruments with lights built into them. They are such unique pieces that give off a vintage air!
 

Look at those two gorgeous brides! Both of the dresses in this shoot speak to a different element of the decor. We are obsessed with the intricate geometric lace design on the dress for the bride with the pink hair! Nothing says vintage better than that large lace design. The other dress brings in the pizazz of the jazz era. 

Neither bridal look would be complete without hair and makeup! Both brides in this shoot are styled with simple makeup to help highlight their natural beauty and not overwhelm their faces. The team also decided to style the brides with classic updos that never go out of style. To accessorize the bries' hair, both were given a sparkling floral hair-piece.
 

Speaking of flowers, this shoot is filled to the brim with all sorts of floral arrangements! From succulents to baby's breath and bright, full flowers in the bouquets, all the florals in this shoot blend naturally with the the foliage around venue. Another unique touch is the donut tower instead of the traditional cake for dessert!
 

The team didn't feel the need to use many additional décor items around the venue as it is a naturally beautiful space. Some highlights of the shoot were the diamond-shaped arbor in the ceremony space, the golden tablecloth and the glass lettered signage. We love the asymmetry of different shaped and colored glass flower vases on the tablescape!
