April and Jackson were busy bees while attending college and met on Bumble. When it came time for the big question, Jackson surprised not only April, but also their family members as well! April says, “He flew in his family who are all out of state (I had no idea). He pulled off an epic surprise, to say the least.” We love it when families can be included in special moments!

The couple decided to go with the flow when deciding the theme of their wedding. April says the key things they focused on were florals, music and dancing. “Looking at Pinterest is always inspiring, but also choosing the venue helped us confirm the vibe we wanted on our day,” April notes. “Looking at photos of other weddings that the vendors had been a part of was also important.”

April carried the theme of elegance and romance into her dress. She gushes, “I bought the first dress I tried on. I fell in love with the dress and didn’t think twice about it.” We’re so glad she did because that lacework is to die for!

We love the summer vibes that this outdoor wedding gives off--not to mention that gorgeous floral arch!

What we love

We’re always excited to see a floral arch as part of a wedding! April says that the arch was her favorite detail of her big day! Even though it rained during the ceremony, it didn’t spoil the mood! She notes, “The rain added a special touch to our day. I did not wake up hoping for rain, but it was beautiful and messy all at once.”

Advice from the couple

April wants future brides and grooms to remember after all the pomp and circumstance, the day should really be focused on you two as a couple. She advises, “Always put your relationship first, remember to keep an open mind and roll with last-minute hiccups. On your wedding day, take a moment for yourselves away from everyone to soak it all in. Let people come and greet you on the dance floor, do not spend your big day greeting each person or you will miss out on what you both worked so hard planning for.”
