The name ‘Notes of Gold,’ is an appropriate title to this lovely golden style shoot because it plays off of the color palette and beer tasting element of the shoot. Photographer Cassie Dunmyer of Cassie Dunmyer Photography wanted to organize a shoot that would give off an earthy feeling while maintaining a modern vibe. She says this team put their heads together, and focused on the guest experience of a wedding while working to keep the warm color palette consistent throughout.

She says, “I pictured wild florals with clean modern elements in the tablescape and ceremony setups. I wanted elegant-meets-casual and for the shoot to toe the line of the more daring work we see coming from the coasts while appealing to Midwestern brides.” We love how this choice of color gives us a warm and fuzzy feeling throughout this entire shoot!

We love that these invitations positively pop with those unique illustrations! The details of the couple at the beer garden, the beer journals and the note cards add the perfect unique flair to this shoot overall.

Can we appreciate the beading on the dress for a moment? We love that it parallels the themes of palm fans shown throughout the rest of the shoot! Cassie says it was the perfect combination of elegant and casual that the team was searching for. “The bodice is beautifully detailed while the bottom was perfectly flowy and draped,” she explains. “It feels modern, yet a little boho, and the color is just enough on the yellow side that it matched the color scheme perfectly. Out of the options, we loved this as our first choice from how it looked and fit our model, Meredith.” Thanks for rocking this awesome piece, Meredith!

Since the rest of this shoot centered so much around color, the team went for a neutral palette for bride’s makeup. They focused on the eyes and let the natural light of the shoot do the rest!

This cake and those macarons add delectable pinches of flavor to this shoot. Cassie says, “The combination with the charcuterie style table was perfect for the grazing style feast we created. Sea Salt and Cinnamon also made vegan soft pretzels and had a variety of mustards to pair with the beer. It really appealed to food lovers and the ‘guest’ experience.” Also, special shout out to A Classic Party Rental for those gorgeous linens that tie the table together!

The team included little touches to keep on trend with this shoot. Additions like a floral bowtie instead of a boutonniere, a hand-illustrated invitation and beer journals give this shoot a personalized and unique feeling that we absolutely adore!

Cassie says the team at The Loft on Isanogel reached out to her to start thinking of this shoot especially designed for them. One of the challenges, Cassie admits, was the weather. “We loved the idea of an outdoor ceremony with the unique dock and spacious grounds. Our eyes were on the forecast the week leading up to the shoot.” We’re so thankful that the weather didn't disappoint! Cassie notes that the planning also took place around a golden hour for “glowy portraits and to play up out color scheme.”

Cassie says that the team was particularly inspired by this venue’s variety of backdrops. She says, “I think overall, this is more on the modern side for barn venues and allows for interesting twists on the traditional country wedding look we often see in Indiana.”

The decision of the color scheme helped Lauren Brown from Woven Blooms start planning the florals from day one. Lauren says, “I knew I wanted subtle color transitions and interesting textures. Mixing fluffy garden roses and double tulips with smooth anthuriums and spire-like delphiniums helped create the dynamic arrangements. I used the dried palm fans to play off of the beading pattern on the bodice of the dress.” What a great eye for detail!
