Madeline and Joe swiped right for the rest of their lives when they met on Tinder. Joe took their relationship to the next level during a trip to Pyramid Point on Lake Michigan. Madeline and Joe’s friends were both going to be involved in the big question, but they got their car stuck in the snow! Madeline remembers, “After the proposal happened, Joe and his two friends went to push my friends’ car out. It turned out to be a five-hour ordeal that involved the tow truck also getting stuck. Joe and I eventually celebrated with dinner around nine o’clock. It was quite the day!”
Joe knew a few of the styles Madeline liked, which led to him choosing the perfect ring. Madeline says, “I love that it is unique from other engagement rings, and that it is gold! I never thought that I wanted a gold ring, but now, I can’t imagine having anything else.”
When the couple started looking for photographers, they felt that Chrystin Melanie Photography had the right talent for capturing the vision they wanted for their engagement session. “I found Chrissy on Facebook and loved the light and airy look of her photos,” Madeline says. “I messaged her for more information and decided to go with her based on her amazing photos, personality, and prices. I felt that we would be comfortable with her, which was very important to us.”
This couple is enjoying their time being engaged—they’ve planned out for almost two and a half years before the wedding. While they’re still in the planning process, their main focus is to enjoy this once-in-a-lifetime moment of their lives. Madeline explains, “By choosing to have a longer engagement, we haven’t had to rush anything at all. As much as we want to be married and start our lives together, it has been so nice to enjoy this chapter of our lives and take things slowly.”
