With Nick's persistence after meeting Angela in middle school, the couple eventually started dating. When the time came for Nick to pop the question, they took out a boat early one morning, and Nick dropped to one knee on the beach outside of their family cabin!

"I immediately started looking for venues so we could get a date on the calendar. Then I went for the big details with a caterer, photographer and videographer," Angela shares. Since all Angela knew she wanted was a barn venue, Pinterest and working with friends and family members really helped her vision come to life. They also chose to hire a wedding planner who not only assisted them to plan their big day but also helped navigate COVID during their wedding planning.

The venue truly met all of Angela and Nick's needs. "We loved the property and that it is a family-oriented business. We also loved the history that came with the property and the barn. Along with all of this, we were able to host our entire wedding party and immediate family on-site Friday through Sunday," Angela raves. The venue also came with suggested vendors, which is where the couple found their photographer and caterer.

After trying two other bridal shops and not finding a dress that matched her personality, Angela finally found the perfect salon and gown. Angela gushes, "My dress originally was champagne color, and I knew from the beginning I wanted an ivory dress. They were willing to work with me and customize that change that I wanted." We think the final product is so gorgeous on her!

What We Love

The happy couple decided to make their matrimony a whole family affair to celebrate all weekend. "I got to spend an entire weekend with all my closest friends and family," Angela shares. They even helped bring the magic into the wedding by providing jewelry, making décor and doing hair!

Advice from the Couple

Angela advises, "Find parts of your wedding day you cherish the most. For me it was my dress, photographer and venue. Let yourself be spoiled in those areas and take away from others. It allows you to have the wedding you want at a more affordable price."
