Kiersten and James have always known each other--literally! The couple’s parents have been friends since middle school, so these two were constantly around each other growing up. It was only a matter of time before they fell in love!
This engagement had Kiersten’s heart soaring! It happened right after James gave Kiersten her first flight lesson. Kiersten recalls, “He had a hand-built cribbage board (one of our favorite games) and a custom deck of cards. He asked if I wanted to play a round of it and I said ‘yes.’ When he started sorting the cards, one of the jokers had ‘marry me?’ printed on it.”
Let’s talk about that ring! Kiersten says she helped pick it out--but didn’t know it. “We were shopping one day and James said that we should check out the jewelry store and asked which one was my favorite. I love it because it is simple, yet elegant.”
When it came to a photography session, Kiersten knew she wanted to work with Leidy and Josh from Leidy and Josh Photography moments after looking at their website. “Leidy and Josh have a style guide that we looked at to get ideas, but then we also added our own twist,” Kiersten says.
This couple already knows what they want out of their wedding, but now they’re spending time ironing out specifics. “We still have over a year, so we are taking our time, but we have the big parts such as the church and reception venue booked,” Kiersten notes. “So far it has been nice and low-stress, and it has been fun figuring out the little details.” We'll be booking our tickets to go!
