This team had a frighteningly good time at this Halloween themed style shoot! This spooky shoot has been on the mind of Emmie of Emmie Taylor Photography for years. Dubbing the shoot “Nightmare at Stonegate,” this wedding will have you shrieking in delight!
The main colors in this palette were chosen to maintain a fall theme. We love the contrast of the bright oranges, deep purples and rich black!
The dreamy outdoor setting of Stonegate Manor brings a traditional vibe to this shoot, which the team worked to mesh with the darker theme they were going for. Emmie says, “It was a challenge to picture this venue in a dark way but it really ended up to be a perfect place for this session.”
Can we talk about that snake for a minute? We love that this team went above and beyond to include a creepy-crawly friend for this Halloween themed shoot!
The ruffles on that dress are to die for! Emmie says when the team was first looking for dresses, she was mainly inspired by a “witchy” look, but nothing matched her vision quite right. “When we put this dress on the model, it just fit her so well,” Emmie gushes. “I was already incorporating Beetle Juice into the shoot so with this wedding dress and the tux we put on the male model, we were able to turn our couple into Barbara and Adam, the ghost couple from the movie.”
The team designed the bride’s makeup to be ghostly to fit in with the spooky theme. Emmie says, “I wanted her hair to feel a bit crazy but still bridal. Her makeup was a bit paler than her usual tone because we tried to give her a skullish look.”
